Two more PIA planes grounded over technical issues

KARACHI: A number of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) aircrafts are out of operation due to unavailability of spare parts and other technical issues, due to which the entire flight schedule of the national flag carrier has been severely disturbed, Geo News reported Tuesday. Today, two more aircrafts were grounded after which a total of 14 planes are non-operational now.

Currently, three Boeing 747, two 777, two 737, five Airbus A310 and two ATR aircrafts are non-operational.

Several national and international flights have been cancelled or are delayed due to the reduced numbers of planes availability.
