MUNICH: German children in Munich went for a special train ride on Sunday, with their attention focused only on Santa Claus who invited them for the trip and handed out gifts to celebrate the Christmas spirit.
Pulled by a vintage steam locomotive built in 1939, the Christmas train went on a one-hour tour of Munich and while the children's fathers seemed more interested in the locomotive, their offspring cared most about what Santa had to hand out.
Alexander Schuhmann, who boarded the train with his two small children, said "this is a great trip for us."
"The children are really enjoying it and earlier, we had a look at the locomotive. I guess it's more impressive for adults," Schuhmann said.
